Lavender

Lavender is often the first essential oil that people purchase and there is good reason for that. It is also known as the 'Swiss Army Knife' of essential oils and if you are unsure what oil to apply in a situation, Lavender if a good oil to try!

Lavender is very versatile and can be a great way to relax and unwind before bedtime.

It had been a very exciting summer at Young Living because Health Canada has recognized Essential oils as useful as Natural Health Products (NHP)

According to Health Canada Lavender is useful in:

-Calming and enhances relaxation

-Reduces the symptoms of a cough and cold

-reduced digestive discomfort

-relieves headache

-relieves joint or muscle pain assoicated with sprains, strains and rheumatoid arthritis

Some of my favorite ways to use lavender include diffusing or applying it with equal parts cederwood, applying it with a carrier oil to my skin after a day in the sun, or putting a couple of drops in epsom salts and adding it to my girls bath as part of our bedtime routine.
